Manuel Hernandez Acevedo Works

Manuel Hernandez Acevedo (1921-1989)

Don Manuel Hernandez Acevedo was born in 1921. Since his recent death, the Puerto Rican Institute and art critics have begun to recognize the value of his works. Some of his artwork is now featured at the Museo de Puerto Rico. His children have set up to preserve and share the value of his latest works.

An accomplished painter and ‘serigrafista’, original print artist, Don Manuel started like many painters, creating original prints under the auspices of the Institute of Cultural Arts of Puerto Rico. His themes tend to underline a social and cultural message reflecting his interpretations of popular scenes, events, and places. His original prints have limited editions and only a few pieces are available to the public.
